Tracey has anchored national news, current affairs and lifestyle programs for several TV networks, and her career started with a stint on local news in Gippsland. Tracey has rallied against inequalities in the workforce, and is passionate about eliminating the gender pay gap. She is currently the national convener with Women in Media, which she shares with pioneering journalist Caroline Jones.
Tracey’s memoir ‘The Good Girl Stripped Bare’ was published in April and is a best-seller. In her frank and hilarious femoir she reveals all about growing us as a self-professed bogan to traversing the murky depths of TV news.
Women in Media Victoria, the Rural Press Club of Victoria and Women in Gippsland are calling on Gippsland movers and shakers to come together to network, release their inner bogan and unwind after the working week. We want to empower Gippsland women, through conversation, food and Lighfoot & Sons wine, to shed the structural barriers facing the sisterhood in the workplace and in Tracey’s words, ‘shake off the shackles of the good girl’. Copies of Tracey's book will be available to buy on the night.
